Leadership Development Built for the Realities of OST Programs
Most professional learning doesn’t reflect what OST leaders actually face. It focuses on theory and compliance — not the real work of guiding teams, managing funding, and building programs that last.
The Keystone Voyage Leadership Academy was built to fill that gap.
Practical strategies. Collaborative learning. Tools you use Monday morning.
What Participants Gain
Participants leave the Leadership Academy with practical strategies and tools that strengthen both leadership practice and program sustainability.
- Lead with clarity — communication, conflict, and culture
- Build and keep strong teams through intentional hiring and coaching
- Manage fiscal resources with confidence and defensibility
- Create inclusive environments where every young person belongs
- Use AI strategically to lead smarter and free up your time
Stronger Leadership:
Decisions made with clarity, confidence, and purpose
Stronger Teams:
Staff who are hired well, coached consistently, and grow
Stronger Programs:
Systems built to sustain — beyond any single funding cycle
This is not professional development for the sake of a requirement.
It’s work that changes how you lead.

Grounded in the Work. Built for the Field.
KVinity is a learning studio created to support educators and youth development leaders working in afterschool and expanded learning environments.
This is not outside expertise handed down. It is field-tested practice built alongside the people doing the work.
Creator and Facilitator, Keystone Voyage Leadership Academy
Co-Founder, KVinity
Kathleen brings more than three decades of experience in education,
leadership development, and program implementation — working alongside
educators and youth development professionals at the local, state, and
federal levels.
She created the Keystone Voyage Leadership Academy because she kept
seeing the same gap: strong people in OST leadership roles without the
practical tools to build programs that last.
Practice Over Theory
Every strategy in the Academy has been tested in real programs, with real teams, and real young people.
Shaped by Those Who Know The Work
Built in collaboration with practitioners across state agencies, school districts, community organizations, OST and youth development programs — and they continue to inform every session.
Built for Your Schedule
Fully virtual, 90 minutes per session, with a cohort size kept intentionally small for real discussions and meaningful peer connections.
Expert Practitioners in the Room
Each session is enriched by practitioners who bring real-world expertise in the topics that matter most to afterschool and expanded learning programs.
